Pagestream. I already own it. (If OS4 was available, I'd be running it, too!

I'd already own ImageFX, too,  if a PPC native version was available for A1.

One could try Mac on Linux, that would allow access to quiet a bit of Mac software!

Huh? I don't get it.
All I know about "A1 Native software" is that Linux runs on it, and AmigaOS is in the process of being ported. That's already said. What was I expected to add?

Oh yeah, the firmware is "A1 Native software", so U-boot will be my contribution to the list. Damn, it feels good being constructive! ;)

Do you mean applications for OS4?  If so, there's a list of comfirmed apps here.

alx: that linki of yours gives 404 error..

(edit)

Mouse: some of old Amiga softwares should run Ok.. I have no way of testing them (mainly due lackof AmigaOne and OS4) but based on my own experience with Pegasos+MorphOS I'd say there will be interestign times on sorting out which one works and which ones dont..

Of existing and still developed programs.. At least Pagestream and AudioEvolution  are going to have OS4 native versions. There have been talks of Real3D port, but you'll better ask from Lempkee about it, IIRC he knows person doing the port.

On games..  Besides Hyperion (whom are  busy with OS4, Linux and Uboot atm) I can't remeber hearing a lot lately. There have been announcements some time ago (year/two) but I have not seen any real progress..

If you really do mean "AmigaONE native software", and not "OS4 native software", then I guess the list is something like Debian, SuSE, Yellow Dog, U-Boot and an alpha version of OS4.

Can I use any software without having to resort to emulation :-?

Please tell me it is possible and that I don't have to wait for OS4.

I haven't used my AmigaOne since I got it because I don't like Linux. :-o

mouse: to thoose who have OS4 on their amigaone, they have access to native stuff.., but a small reminder here is , you bought an amigaone and most likely either 1. because you are a developer.  or 2. because you like linux ppc  or last but not least 3. you are an amiga user ..

anyway you should be able to fork out a list pretty soon if you have an amigaone, anything linux ppc wise you can run but i hate linux myself so i wont answer much on that.

sign up as a tester (os4)... is my only comment atm since you obviously lost out of the mailing lists etc.
Whats up with all the hate!

Sell the thing, and buy a Pegasos if you don't want to wait for OS4.  (if you hate linux *that* much.)

If it were me, I would just run linux on it.  Spend some time learning the BASH and KORN shells, and how to write scripts with them. (The knowledge you gain by doing so is invaluable!)

There are things you can do with LinuxPPC, and it really isn't that difficult.  The first thing you have to do is get over any fear of destroying the install, and try different things in linux.  There are games, tools, and quite a few other things you can do under linux.  Besides, the other option is a bit on the extreme side ;-)
Regards,
Targhan
