I have a snail mail address (besides the PO Box) and a home phone # for Mr Griffin if you would like them.

All of the current auctions run by centsi (Centsible's new account) appear to have been withdrawn as they are no longer listed.  The account has just been NARU'd.

Hi and thanks for the offer, but I don't want to seem as though I am stalking, we'll let Ebay take care of it. Best for all of us to take heed that there are some not-so-nice people out there... Second time I have been nearly duped!

To Bodie_CI5:

Do not buy anything from Centsible Software!

I bought a Super Denise chip from them.  I used a Debit card to pay for it on 9-18-03.  They did not take the funds out of my account until 9-25-03 and I did not receive the Super Denise until 10-3-03.  It took over two WEEKS to get this item and I ordered it online.  When I received the Super Denise chip it was not packaged properly.  This MOS chip, which can be easily damaged by static electricity, was plugged into WHITE foam and wrapped with clear packaging tape.  Both the white foam and the clear packaging tape can generate up to 10,000 volts of static electricity, so I know that this Super Denise MOS chip is static damaged.  I emailed Bill Griffin, the owner, to get another Super Denise chip, but never got a response back.

Thanks DoomMaster

I have dearly learnt my lesson, although luckily I did not make any transaction. I now know never to make any deals with this person, or with the various email addresses that he supplies.

HOWEVER, I sincerely hope than no-one visiting any Amiga websites ever deals with this person. He is ruthless, as you have shown as well as OS5442 has also explained.

Thank you DoomMaster for the warning. And a BIG thank you to all who have given me advice. Just goes to show that while some people cannot EVER be trusted, there are many within the wide spectrum of the Amiga community that help the other people who are about to be defrauded.

 Sincerely thank you. :-)

That's not cool.  Bill is an Extra-class amateur radio operator.  He should damn well know better!

I bought a video cable from him on ebay and took the opportunity to ordersome additional items from Centsible at half price with free shipping given to ebay auction winners.  I didn't know that Centsible had been sold to this new owner.  I recieved the video cable as well as an explanation that he'd recieved all of Centsible's goodies in several sea cans that he'd not yet plumbed the depths of.  Here is his last profile on ebay under user name wd8izh.

http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewFeedback&userid=wd8izh&items=200

He sent pictures of the full sea cans to me and said he would refund the extra money to me, but that has not happened yet, although I did say that I preferred the items.

I'd show them to you, but I guess I'd have to figure out how to upload them to a site with a URL  :-o

I notice that he had another auction on ebay with a new name and no feedback at all yet under his new name.  Here is a quote fom his email to me.

The other items (ordered from the website I am still searching for they are in one of these three storage buildings (pics enclosed). Unfortunately this is how the buildings look after some 5 months of sorting since I took over Centsible Software from Scot Parker (who basically dumped 4 semiloads of inventory in my lap with no time (or really space for that matter) to sort it out at the start.

Maybe he was overwhelmed by all the stuff he got , but I don't think he's handled it very well.

Okay, maybe they're not sea cans, I just took another look at the pictures he sent, and I think they may be some of those storage bin locations that you rent by the month.

DoomMaster:
Try taking action thru the bank that issued your debit card.  Also, contact the State Attorney General of the state of the merchant. If you can find others haveing the same or similar problems with the merchant, include that information also. If your feeling really energetic or pissed off, contact the merchant's local chamber of commerce to see if they are a member (or ask if they exist, that might get them looking around) and police. Basically, light as many fires as you can, then see where they spread. Might get your money back or maybe not, chances are one of these will hit dirt and make someone squirm.

Well since we are on the case of Ebay frauds... has anyone ever had problems with this guy?:

Like an idiot I bought three Amiga Format magazines off him... he had no negative feedbakck until that time, now there's a whole set of them. I did make the mistake of using Paypal, so I have lost $100AUD to him. I will be making a Fraud Report, I hope I can get my money back  .

Please be careful of people on ebay, there are many frauds there. Unfortunately, I along with some other users here, have learnt that the extremely hard way. If only all were like redrumloa :-( .

I'm shocked to see this about Rick Waters.  He used to be one of the most reputable and excellent amiga dealers out there.  No question about it though, the bad feedback has definitely started to appear recently.  I ordered lots of stuff from him, never had a single problem, and always excellent service......very sad to see this happen.....I hope it's just an temporary problem and not a good dealer turned bad.....
