How about a double effort ... to release it for MorhpOS aswell ?

Eventually .. people and companies should try to work together ...

@lempkee

WTF? Who started what war ????
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

kees:i totally agree , but i doubt it will happen. unless something special happens.

kronos:if u missed that then u missed a big point from the mos side , it all started 2-3 years ago and its still ongoing , in the tube atm is TITAN , Vapor and several others.

This is mainly why the sides splitted up, and started to say stuff like "We wont support Amigaos , only morphos  ... and later the other way around "only AmigaOs , not morphos"  etc.

anyway i think its time to do something about it, it will tear the market even more up if this goes on..... oh well time will tell.

UT rules !

UT rules indeed. I am pretty new at playing the game, but I like it alot already. Maybe sometime in the future we could do Amiga.org vs AmigaWorld.net matches. And if we want to see some really nasty stuff MOS vs AmigaOS supporter matches.  ;-)

@lempkee

Ah that.....

Well I wouldn't call that a war, it is just people/buisnesses being
honest for a change....

Neither e.p.i.c. nor Titan have ruled out OS4-versions,but allways
made it clear that they can't promise support for a system the don't have to
test/develolp on.

kronos: epic said that indeed (that they will support it when its out...)  titan never did that , same with vapor...just kept saying...want our products?  buy pegasos..

anyway i totally agree with how its done atm , badgeing a game "Works on OS4" years/months before its out is just plain silly + it would be just confusing.

but what i dont understand is (now that everyone seems to be friends) why teams like titan and vapor doesnt release ppc stuff , atleast for the stuff we allready own on 68k ,  ie like Voyager , amirc etc. , but then again why should they?..

(for the epic stuff , i totally understand it ...an highend powerup card wouldnt cope with their latest NON Amigaos Titles..)

cheers

PPC-stuff ?

You mean WOS ????

Wouldn't work for stuff like Voyager (unless you plan to rewrite it from scratch).

And OS4 just ain't there (yet).

Bout Titan, yes I have seen several interviews where they stated that they would
support OS4 when it's ready, but they also have been not so optimistic about it
like some people wanted them to be (and have been prooven right in the last 2 years).

While I don't know the connection between Alex Knabe (who did the presentation
in Rotterdam) and Titan, but one of the 1st things he stated was that a
OS4-version of BurnIt is quite likely to happen.

About starting this "war":

Sofar I have seen only one company ruling out one of the 2 OSes, and that since
2000 ........ :-o

OK, this sounded cool to start with. Then I read the actual situation, and it sounds only like "some guy" asked Virgin if it could happen, and told them Hyperion would be capable, showing their resume of completed ports for good impression, and then this "some guy" went to Hyperion saying Virgin was open to the possibility.

How far have these "discussions" gone, has a license fee amount come up yet? Has it been agreed upon? Does Hyperion actually have people to do the work, considerin ghteir current projects ongoing and/or sitting on a dusty shelf somewhere?

I'd love to see this happen. But is this in any serious negotiations for license amounts, programmer work assignments, etc. or just "some guy" trying to bring two unassociated companies into something neither was looking for at the time? Please let it be the "in actual serious negotiations" one...
