@amigamad

Yes! I have windows 2000 and I have SP4.

I am also using sygate firewall, and I never got affected by that worm or whatever is going around.  I am rolling and just glad that I am still up and running.  :-D

The worm didn't affect my machine, because I know how to configure Windows properly and so don't need a firewall :-)

The subject reminded me of an totaly unrelated quote:

'Baldrick, you wouldn't recognize a cunning plan, even if it painted itself purple, danced on a harpsycord and sang: "Cunning plans are here again"'

Who cares if MS uses Linux ?! MS Is the biggest actor in the market and that upsets alot of people, but live with it. No one is perticular upset that our cars runs on Petrol after over a 100years of car development..
It\\\'s not my problem that you read what I am typing and not understand what I am meaning.

And I thought my comparisons were well off-whack sometimes :-)

There's a certain amount to be said for a company using its own products.

yes yes yes.. but I understand this childish I-HATE-MICROSOFT-HOPE-THEY-BURN-IN-HELL ive been there, done that stopped doing it..
MS are good at what they are doing developing, marketing, support etc. And I wouldnt have a job today if it wasnt for MS ;D
The facts are that all software and games are for Windows :) Why not give them credits for their improvements ?! :)

No, not boasting, just waiting for an opportunity to advertise my site's existence, which has a guide to secure a Win2k/XP installation from scratch :-)

Firewalls aren't fool-proof, and that's the problem to start with.

That´s  the one thing stopping better OSes from taking over, if there is only half of the problems with windows then half of the it-staff will be fired. Or horror of all horrors if there is no problem then there won´t be anyone working in the it-department :-)

OmFg..
Petrol/diesel.. there's alternatives that arent bad for the enviroment..

I don't work for MS I work for a huge company that use Windows for server and workstation so I support them..

And the bs that there are Games for linux .. yeah well OLD and outdated games that I don't want to play anyways.. If Quake3 have 150fps more doesnt matter to me..
what matter is that my mouse in windows works and gives me 800dpi mouse and scroll wheel works and the thumb-buttons works.. directly with the drivers.. noo hacking xconfig etc..

Microsoft OS:es has the best support no doubt about that..
