@Skyraker

Wow. You seem to know lots of things. Care to elaborate about what piracy-issues you're referring to, and while there give me an update of the trademark infringement aswell. Thanks.

As for your lolling, firstly, mr.Hunt joining Genesi is ancient news, and secondly, he is not porting a ####.

It's kinda funny that Amiga Inc. can take the money from the userbase, but is openly hostile towards licensing money. Maybe it's because when you license something youâ€șare expected to actually have something to license at some point too.

The situation is as follows:

We felt we had a valid license agreement.  Amiga Inc. did not and contested this.  We took the appropriate legal action to resolve the disagreement.  All documents associated with the resolution of this matter will be in the public domain.  In the meanwhile, as we know and are comfortable with the result of this disagreement, we have added the Amiga trademarks to our website and linked to the appropriate webpage.

Sincerely,
  Raquel and Bill  :-)

Thank you Raquel and Bill.

I think that is an excellent summary and will resolve most questions, or create more. :-)

Trolling? Why Downix posts take so longer to be censored?

Downix works for Genesi, i work in  an internet point. It is different.

@ Downix again: Amiga Inc website is well organised and designed. If you don't like it you don't need to insult the webmaster.

I must remember to you the old (few weeks ago) Morhpos.net design? this was amateurish. You are insulting for free AMiga Inc everytime you can, so don't expect any respect from me and other real amiga users.

So, i ask to kees not to delete this, because it is not trolling, but an attack to a troll.

Wayne could you please delete my account here at A.org.

After having used A.org for many years I simply find this place have become to biased.

I also find it's moderators lacking the needed skills to ensure that personal attacks are removed (calling people idiots etc. is not ok IMHO).

Hope Genesi pays you really well,  wonder if it is your skills or your website they wanted to buy, probably both I hope!

[ EDIT ] Having recieved a nice email from Kees I decided to keep my account, although I will probably be participating a little less than I use to..

Ikir,

I don't know who moderated you, but it's often how you say things here, not necessarily what you said.

There is a difference between saying "Person X is an arse" and "Person X is a ####### ####".  I don't even know what you said, so don't try to defend it to me.  I don't care. :-)

I will point out that both Downix and HMetal were moderated as well as you were for what I would consider childish namecalling.

Troels,

I can't delete your account, but I'm sure someone here will help you out.  I'm just sorry to see that you feel that way.  There are 10 people running the site, and believe me when I tell you that while some might tend to lean towards Genesi's direction, each person on the staff has their direct Amiga Inc supporting counterpart.

I have, in fact, never seen a more perfectly balanced staff.  Now if you guys could only get over the idea that I am still involved.  All I do any more is answer questions related to "how do I?" or "should we put this in the FAQ".  I do not run this site nor am I directly involved in the day-to-day operations.

The old MorphOS.net site was, well, _very_ old and not created by Genesi S.a.r.l.  Andre did his usual wonders and came up with a beautiful design.

Hi BBRV..

Could it be possible to publish some joint statement of this
settlement (as I understand from your Ann.lu post) from involved
parties? It would hopefully clear things up a little.

Great news!  I'm a bit shocked that only real out come was achieved before this went to court, but i'm happy it did.  Perhaps the red and blue wars can come to a peaceful end and we can become a community once again.  Pity this all took almost a whole year away from us.
