Phew! The first part had me all clammy feeling. But I'm glad to see that you aren't pulling the plug and it's great that you have a staff that you can trust to take over.

I have appreciated this place for a long time (lurking for years before I first opened my big mouth :-) ) and I intend to appreciate it for years to come.

I hope those family obligations are not of a particularly heavy kind, though it is none of my business, and that the other projects are fruitful and rewarding.

Wayne, sorry to read this.  I'm sure you'll still be putting in some good contributions.

Thanks, for upholding this long.  Its been more than worth it.

Take care,

Housey

@Wayne,

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think this is a good decision on your part.

Private live before anything else is what I believe (learned the lesson a bit to late tho... Can't reverse it)

Good luck with your family obligations. Do hope to see more post from you as a normal member ;-)

And good luck to all the moderators of Amiga.org

Hey Wayne!

Well done for lots of reasons, particularly:

1. Creating Amiga.Org in the first place. Wherelse could all us workshy layabouts hang out?
2. Putting up with the endless rants of bickering morons (myself included ;~) arguing the toss about the most inane subjects.
3. And finally all the accusations of Anti this and pro that.

Everything has it's costs and having Family + Work + Website pulling at your time, something has to give. Releasing A.org ain't such a bad thing, since the people around you seem a capable bunch :-D  Hope everything else can balance themselves out as well.

Hey, anyone attending Sacramento on Saturday: Could you buy Wayne some  :pint: for me and I'll pay you back?

Cheers

Just wanted to say thank you for all the zillions of hours you've dumped into Amiga.org over the years.  It's popularity is the direct result of your time and money that you have invested in it.

Best wishes.

While this may seem sad news, i think it's good to be 'out' of it for a while sometimes. Everyone needs a break from things sometimes.

Giving the fact that you were/are so passionate about Amiga (nono, not the brand but the community :-)) and the website you have created, i think it will do you good and maybe you will return with fresh energy and maybe maybe the climate will have changed a bit by then.

I wish you all the best and a lot of respect for everything you have done for us, the amiga community.

:-o Didn't see this coming!

Good luck with your professional and personal life.

You'll be sad to leave Amiga.org, like leaving your kids to fend for themselves.  But life will be so much easier without having to look after it.  Just make sure you don't forget about it and keep popping in :-D

As someone asked before, who's the new webmaster?  Or will it be a joint effort between all the moderators?

btw, remember to post ALL your news and photos from AmiWest for those of us who can't go ;-) and enjoy the fun while you're there :-)

make sure you have :pint: handy for going cold turkey, just don't have too many :-o :-D

Wow, it's been 8 years already! Time flies! Well, thanks for this wonderful web site Wayne and it's a shame you can't stay on at the helm. I too hope the community can stick together. Good luck and hopefully you'll still be able to maintain a strong presence on the site, if not now at least sometime in the future. Take care.

Once things have settled down, you will be back.  I will go to Huntsville and drag you back in ;-)

Seriously, thanks for all the memories, and I am happy you'll still be a "contributing editor."
