@Helgis75,

Yeah, I thought about the 750FX Card instead,
but I'm a sucker for features, and now that Altivec streams are going to be supported (to an extent) in OS4, I couldnt resist ! :-D

I was considering using the cash saved there to pay for the 512MB RAM, but I went for it anyway

About the G4, isn't the mathprocessing different/better in the G4 then the G3 (not speaking about Altivec)?

As far as buying memory from Eytech, if this guarantees a 100% working board then I`ll gladly pay 20+ pounds more. I`ve had horrendous trouble with cheap mem on this Asus A7V333 from local suppliers and I`ve learned that cheap memory  causes problems most of the time.

This memory issue is a bit of a concern.  Excuse my ignorance but what is the FSB on a G3 and G4.

I have just a bought a stick of 256MB of PC2700 ram which runs at 333MHZ for £60 odd and that was from PC-world!!!!!
