No decent reds in Pommyland, anyway. Come home mate, all is forgiven.

Happy New Year, guys.

Don't you guys have anything more important to be doing than bitching about a humorous news story?

I really wasn't THAT serious..  :-)

Oh ..Kermit. What chances ImageFX being ported native to PPC ?

Paul, if you've joined the ML list for IFX, you'd know Kermit's policy of not announcing anything until it's ready to ship.
When we've tried to nail him down on the subject (think of the old "nailing Blancmange to a ceiling" quote), the nearest we ever got was 'Nova Design will support future versions of AmigaOS'.
I'd happily pay out for a full PPC upgrade (I've been on the upgrade path since 2.1) since a program of this kind would really show it's class running natively.
Still it's a question of economics, are their enough people out there willing to PAY for a professional application (ie not Opensore  :-P ), to justify paying a programmer to port IFX across?
My and your votes are a start, but I'd expect to have more than a few hundred more to make it worthwhile.

Hey John... Scratch me down on your list as well.  (But you knew that anyway).

I agree.  A native port, perhaps with altivec support would  enhance sales of A1 G4 considerably, I believe.

Heres hoping !!  Someone must have something up their sleeve for A1's debut at  (is it?) Cebit in March.
