Big Brother is watching you. If they would those companies can expect some hackers to pay them a visit.

PC's, the RIAA, M$, Windows and Congress all suck!

And that's just the beginning of a long list.

Part of me is beginning to hope that asteroid does wipe us all out.

I just hope they stay in the US. If they start hacking computers outside the US, then a lot of people would get very, very upset.

:-?  I'm sure I saw something in the Declaration of Human Rights about no condemnation without a fair trial, or something along those lines...

Of course, the USA is the country where the Scientologists can confiscate your computer if they don't like what you write about them, isn't it?

(note to self: don't get started on this)

I see it all the more reason to stay AmigaOS. They'll build something that'll attach itself to a DLL file or something-try to find a DLL within AmigaOS sucker!

Now this is where KaZaA's integrated trojan comes in handy, I guess... :-/

Also, I think I have to agree anarchic_teapot here, that is pretty contradictory. Don't now about that confiscating stuff, though...

Don't count on it...  The MPAA and RIAA are certainly not going to stop at the US and may very well use the 'US' to attack 'piracy' on a global scale.

The scary thing is, the RIAA suggest daft things to Congress like "hey, let's kill internet radio!" and Congress go along with it.

So this is gonna happen.  Sorry guys.

I miss soma fm.  Boo hoo hoo

I can't see this taking hold in Europe. Intentionally disabling a PC amounts to criminal damage, and if you allow commerce to do it how can you turn around and say its wrong for hackers to?

To be honest I can't see it succeeding in the USA either. Oh, whoops, you voted for Bush. Oh well, you deserve all you get ;-)

Vote Democrat next time (hehe).

Oh hell no! I may have a Clinton avatar :-x  but the democrats are far worse when it comes to personal freedoms and privacy. See the 80's witch hunt where former Vice President TIPPER Gore tried to censor rock/metal music.

@redrumloa

What's wrong about it? You can't break a law to keep a law, ie. if I took down a annoying hacker's system to prevent him doing the same to me I could be prosecuted. And it makes no difference whether the parties are involved are companies or individuals. Hacking a computer is damage of private property and should be treated as such. I'm speaking about European law, of couse - I don't know about equivalent legislation in the US. Your property laws seems to be inconsistent.

And the Bush thing was a joke, of course (ok, a bad one ;-) ). And banning rock music I would agree with as a matter of taste (and that's another joke ;-) ).

Oh, and I believe that Republican personal freedoms are great unless you happen to be gay, coloured, or Moslem. And that's not a joke.
