Sorry, but Amiga Inc have terms for getting AmigaOS4 running on hardware legally, and they are clearly available and everyone knows what they are: hardware ROM to prevent piracy, and OS comes with the motherboard. How do they expect to cooperate with Amiga Inc if their employees are posting confidential business emails all over the internet?

It all strikes me that one side (Bill Buck and Co.) are being very vocal and unprofessional, whilst the other side are keeping out of it except to refute some of the more spurious claims that have been made.

Lets just say that at least one side appears to be getting real hardware and a real new OS to the Amiga market, and the people involved are reputable (Eyetech, Hyperion). Of course, Pegasos looks nice if it ever gets shipped, and I can't comment on MorphOS, but both of these products have been promised for a long time as well. So delays hit both sides, making the attacks last year on the AmigaOne delays extremely hypocritical in my opinion.

So my last words: actions count, not words. :)

Yes, they have now removed the (unprofessional !!!) Anti Amiga Inc. bickering section.

Thank you Amiga Org for making a difference!

> And beside that, MorphOS sucks.

MOS sucks? Cool! Didn't know that!
How do you know? Ever tried it? Maybe
you tried a year old alpha?
You could say that the first OS4 betas suck
too, does it matter? The quality of the final product
is what matters...

> PEGASOS IS THE BEST HARDWARE!!!! (LOL)

No lol here... It's much better than the cheapware
AmigaONE.

> And MorphOS THE BEST OS!!!! (LOL) (again)

Well, we really don't know that yet.

> And DCE THE GREATEST
> HARDWAREMANUFACTURER!!!! (LOL) (again and
> again)

Hrrmm... The price difference is very small but the Pegasos will be slightly cheaper than the A1, AFAIK. So, what's cheapware, again? :-P

Where's the CPU socket(s)? Removed to bring the
price down, while Pegasos which has one+Firewire
costs just a bit more...

Depends on which aspects you use to define "cheap". The board Eyetech is labelling A1G3-SE was designed in Taiwan, most likely by Atum Technology Corp. (Although Alan says you're a "troll" if you ask, so there's no way even for paying customers to know for sure until you've got the board and peel off Eyetech's stickers.) Already available Taiwanese designs are cheaper than doing new in-house designs in a relatively expensive country like Germany.
The A1G3-SE doesn't have as many on-board devices and features. It's cheaper to design and manufacture.

Yet the A1G3-SE is more expensive for the end-customer to buy. One reason could be that the A1G3-SE is first sold to a middle man in the UK with the only currently existing Amiga license and then redistributed to end-customer dealers.

This is rather irrelevant anyway. There is no reason to participate in pointless hardware flamewars. There is no "Amiga". There is the Amiga OS and we ought to be able to buy that separately and install it on any hardware of our choice. Stop thinking "the A1G3-SE/Pegasos r00lz and the Pegasos/A1G3-SE suXX0rz and shouldn't be allowed to exist damnit".
We should be allowed to think "hmm, that piece of hardware is suitable for me, and lookee here it says it's Amiga OS compatible. Oh, there's noone offering a licensed bundle. Well then I'll just order it from the cheapest dealer and buy OS4 separately".
