Your issue lies with the NSDPatch.
Never used it, but I can tell you I did not have problems with partition sizes.
I did have the issue of the NDOS icon not appearing and having to drop to the cli to format.
The format would fail, but cannot remember why. I will look at my notes...
:-)
I was using OS 3.9 and had a 9gb scsi data drive which worked fine with no patches. Drives larger than 40gb (my memory) need a patch. Had a 160gb usb drive hooked up but had a bugger of a time getting it to work with OS 3.9 only. Thought maybe Deneb would take care of issues with massstorage.class.

@Platon42:

Thanks for the info and tips Chris. Glad you never tire of re-writing some of this stuff. lol  I did see a relatively recent discussion where you were talking about TD64/large GB usage with the Deneb, but thought it strange I couldn't get mine to work.

@Marc & rest:

Looking at the envelope it came in, stamped with ink is a Max Fong of Oakland Gardens, NY. Package was sent from Flushing N.Y., but it's really starting to seem as if this particular flash drive *IS* counterfeit or junk. I'm even getting flaky results writing/reading from it on my Mac now. Journaled or Fat, doesn't matter. I copied 14gb worth of data to it from my Mac and then stuck it in the Amiga. There were some files that were clearly missing on the Amiga end, even though OS3.9 properly recognises its purported size and remainder of disk space. I then tried to dump the 14gb contents back to my Mac and got a "you don't have enough privileges" after a while and then the Finder tanked. Had to reboot. If I format as Fat and leave it empty, the Amiga sees it as a 16gb flashdrive. I'm still putting it through some tests though to see if I will be able to use it as a simple flashdrive that way (not a "real" HD) and keep my 128mb Flash as just my bootable 3.9 disk. But again, the evidence here is proving that I was duped. lol

I have asked the seller for my money back. Failing that, I guess I could always scratch the '1' off of '16gb' as 6gb seems to be the usable legitimate space  :lol:

Thanks for the update.

This is exactly the reason why I buy my CF cards and flashdisks at regular shops.
I really don't need this kind of sh!t.

I do hope you get your money back.
