Sure seems like the gvpscsi.device is the culprit. I've destroyed the HD and reinstalled OS 3.9 about 7 or 8 times this week :boohoo:

I don't think I want to shell out $60 for PFS3.

Can I be absolutely certain that I will be able to access greater than 4 gig if I purchase PFS3?

Hi, just my 2 cents...
for my GVP impact HC+8 series2  (rom 4.13)  with a IBM 9.6GB Sca-to-scsi adapter, I simply use " hdtoolbox gvpscsi.device " and did FFS(v45)/FAT32/UNIX/SWAP partitions without problems with an OS3.5
Keep the Faith !

Don't shell out $60, if you're looking at the SoftHut website, they probably don't have it anymore, anyway. Keep an eye on ebay or ask around a bit.

I bought a copy from these guys several years ago for around $30... they're a little flaky, but might still have it.
