Denab Clock Ports
« on: December 24, 2008, 12:40:11 PM »
Hello All,

Just installed a Denab USB card in my A4000T, what an excellent piece of Hardware for the Classic Amiga. Wish all Amiga hardware was this good. Worth every cent. I noticed on the card it has A1200 style clock ports. Has anyone successfully used these ports? As I haven't heard anything about them.

Like to hear your comments.

Have a Merry Christmas. :-D

Thanks in advance,
Merv Stent

The hardware is called Deneb, not ...nab.

Where the name comes from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deneb

Bye,
Thomas

The Rescue Image installer contains a tool to enable the clockport (RTFM). Please notice that there is only one clockport -- the JTAG and/or the jumpers are not clockports, don't try to connect stuff there.

However, it does not seem as if many people have been using the clockport...

I've got the Deneb in my A4000, I've got 2 x A1200Ts and had a Buddha with clock ports in my A2000 & A3000... and never used them.  To be honest, with the exception of perhaps a Catweasel, I can't think of anything to attach to the Deneb via that port that you couldn't attach via the USB ports.  I can't recall when someone last advertised a clock port hardware add-on.
A2000, A3000, 2 x A1200T, A1200, A4000Tower & Mediator, CD32, VIC-20, C64, C128, C128D, PET 8032, Minimig & ARM, C-One, FPGA Arcade... and AmigaOne X1000.

Hello,
I'm considering to do the final upgrade to my A4000D and while Indivision AGA and Deneb USB controller are planned for sure I was tempted to extend my purchase to a Delfina sound card to plug on the Deneb clockport. In the specifications of Delfina requirements is pointed that the clockport must be the A1200 one or a 100% compatible.
Has anyone succesfully plugged a Delfina to the Deneb clockport? Is all working as expected?
