Tracker Hero new game for amiga!
« on: December 08, 2008, 12:23:22 PM »
I just found this on youtube http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=isXC8IyKYFA looks amazing. Its for classic amiga and is being worked on :D

*edit Added small report

It seems to be smooth moving. With 4 channels each with either up arrow, down arrow and left and right. In the background you have a pulsing circle kind thing in the middle and different colour sequences on the white bits. The notes explode into pixels when struck correctly.

nobody woulda bought this game back when commodore was still around. people didn't start liking this sort of thing until japan started exporting music games.

Games like this have been popular since the nineties, when it was time for Klax!

It's awesome that someone is developing a game like this for the Amiga now though.
I had been thinking of how it could best be done for months now, and it seems like someone else out there has already done it.
It's a shame there's no other info about the game on the net.

I'll buy this for sure if it comes out.
I just hope they include support for CD32 control pads and Playstation guitars (via PS2-CD32 adapters).
Amiga user forever.

Yeah that would be wicked if it had guitar support. They are making this device for shredz64 http://www.synthdreams.com/psx64.php (which even supports the tilt action on the guitar) which is compatible with amiga so hopefully we will be able to rock away to classic mods :D

I think Carlos Peris is the dev - http://kung-foo.dhs.org/zener/

It's about time that someone did this. However, the music in the video is not in sync with the notes on the display. The video fades between multiple different songs none of which are the one that the display is scrolling.

Another video showing the guitar working.

Looks like a CDTV on the desk.

Check out the DVD case right behind the CDTV?  Anyone know what movie it is??  :-)

Back in my day, we didn\'t have water. We only had Oxygen and Hydrogen, and we\'d just have to shove them together.

It's a very nice looking AGA game, much better than most of the stuff we see these days.
Life begins at 100 MIPS!

The beta runs very nicely on my A1200 with 4MB FastRAM, and Rebel's A1200 030/50 with 32MB FastRAM, but the game should be playable on all AGA Amigas including CD32 by the time it's finished. You can even use a CD32 pad in the same way the guitar works, by holding down the corresponding button and "strumming" the D-pad. And some of the new music in this game is extremely catchy, I think a CD/MP3 Tracker Hero Official Soundtrack album would probably go down well too.

I'm going to try taking some videos of my own as soon as I can borrow a decent camera.
