I can talk a lot about the deregulatory environment started by Reagan and finished by Bush which allowed, among other things, the rampant subprime mortgage lending and its attendant problems. They just made it so you almost couldn't get a regular mortgage, ever, then provided these second tier things instead. bald faced avarice. My experience with this is very personal, and very expensive :-( This sort of thing was ILLEGAL before Bush, and for good reason. Now it will be illegal again, I hope.
Which is why I am against this "government bailout". That's just so the recession won't happen in Bush's presidency (and I use that term lightly). Whether it happens in 1 year, 4 years, or 10, it's going to happen. We can't stop it now....
Just not on his watch. He made sure of that.
I'm really getting tired of this "two party system". It goes against everything our country was built upon.
Anyone up for another tea party? Maybe we can get Big Mac to run for president. :-P
