Ramsey rev 7 A3000/4000           -      $88.75US
WD SCSI rev 8 chip for A3000/A2091  -    $81.46US
Super Buster rev 11, A3000/4000      -   $118.34US
Super DMAC rev 4                      -  $120.92US

Your complete A3000 upgrade!

I assume this is with taxes etc as there are two amounts, this is the greater amount.

1 USD = 5.06923 NOK

It doesnt look good that their shop has a last updated tag of 2006 and in the PC section there are no core2duo chips after E6850 which corresponds to the second half of 2007.

And the dollar was worth something!

I'm afraid there is virtually no chance this is still in stock.

Have these things really become that hard to find?  I have a Ramsey 07 and DMAC 04 combination that was supposed to go into an A3000 desktop.  The problem is the A3000 hasn't been powered on in 5+ years and I don't have a 3640 so there really isn't a need other than it would be cool to have it with the latest/greatest chips.

Pros:

1 - $200 is an awful lot for a single chip.
2 - I don't even know WHY I need the chip.
3 - It may be another 5 years before I install the chip and power the A3000 on.
4 - Someone else has a real need. -- I think.
5 - I'll probably only regret the sale for the 10 minutes it takes to wrap and ship the item.

Cons:

1 - I'll never find one again if I end up needing one.

The cons are pretty weak.  Send me a PM.

Brian

If you're trying to upgrade from 68030 to 68040, then you may also want newer scsi chip.  You need it regardless.
i just offered it here, its expensive and little room for making $, hence i don't want to order too many.
http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=38747

To do 040, as almost all A3000 were delivered with the revision combination of DMAC-02 and RAMSEY-04. The problem with this combination is, the DMAC-02 does not like 68040 boards like the A3640 due to heat and timing problems.  Though, I have heard of DMAC-02 being ok with some 68040 boards.

Keep in mind even after you get newer  Ramsey 07, Super Buster  11, Super DMAC 04, WD-SCSI  08 , there's no guarantee your miggy will like 68040.  However, the SCSI 8 chip is a must fix for any amiga 3000 regardless of cpu.

If someone here has the chips, than I recommend you buy their Amiga 3000 motherboard also.

@kin-hell
trolling? how's what I stated nonsense? do you own an amiga 3000?
Not forcing anyone to upgrade, simply will order fewer chips if no or little interest is shown.  No problem.  I doubt you'll find this chip easily (need to upgrade my A3000 also).
Took me 3 hours to locate them.  :-D
