Friday night...
« on: July 04, 2008, 09:46:40 PM »
It's Friday night.
Instead of chucking money down the local boozer or round town checking out the ladies I am on the Amiga 600 (I managed to get it going).

It Came From The Desert... WOW! Probably one of my favourite games ever.

There's an ice cold beer waiting in the fridge and some pringles next to me.

This is the life  :-D

With a bit of luck that should be me in a few weeks, I am getting an A1200 and hard drive, and plan to get WHDLoad :-)

I've spent my Friday night replacing the battery on an A3000D motherboard I picked up from ebay this week with a lithium one.  No acid damage whatsover  :-D  :-D  :-D  I've just finished rebuilding it with a PIV, AriadneII and A3640.

Proper chuffed I am!  :pint:  :pint:  :pint:

Ah great game. Kinda like watching an old late night monster movie from the 50's. Wasn't that based a bit on the movie "Them"?

My friday night is being spent working to get my toaster flyer setup moved over from my 2000 to my 3000. Looks like the 3000's power supply doesn't have enough horse power to run it all though.

Ah but there will be fireworks soon so, I'll be out side later watching the show.

@Plaz,

I'm actually on a balcony in downtown Atlanta right now on my laptop about to watch the fireworks at the park down here. At least I think they happen here? we'll see.

No Amigas anywhere near me at the moment unless you count the ones I'm watching on the street below! :lol:

@spihunter

Hope it was a good show. (oh and the fireworks too :-) )
Did you come to Atlanta just for the 4th or traveling for business? Though my location is listed as Atlanta, I'm acutally in the suburbs to the north east. Traffic's as bad or worse here as in downtown though. :-P

Amiga's are great but I do think the opposite sex just about clinches it for me. :lol:

There are times when you will prefer the Amiga, trust me  :lol:

In most cases the Amiga won't:

Nag you (only if there is a disk error or something)
Give you earache
Stress you out
Moan at you
etc etc.

Sometimes not even a fine looking woman can beat an ice cold beer and an Amiga game.
