AmigaOS 3.9 installation on SCSI disk
« on: May 08, 2008, 06:12:26 PM »
Hi all,

My a1200 is equipped with a blizzard 1230IV and a scsi controller. There is a zipdrive, dvd drive and 18Gb hd connected to it. All seems to work fine.

I managed to install AOS3.9 on an 5GB partation that is bootable, tried prio 0 and 1. Installation works fine, but when booting the amiga stops with a guru and gets in a loop where it keeps trying to boot from the hd? I guess.

Is selected the partion as a bootable device from the ESC, but that gave the same result.

Do I need to install additional software from the blizzard card?

edit:
mmm maybe this isn't the right place to post this message, maybe it belongs in an SW topic

Unless you use a third-party file system like PFS3 or SFS, the boot partition must be completely inside the first 4GB of the HDD. So your 5GB partition is definitely too large.

Bye,
Thomas
