Shipping 100Kg within in EU!
« on: May 04, 2008, 03:58:38 PM »
Erm.. does anyone knows a cheap way, don't care if it take ages, to ship a big high volume order (maybe around 80x80x80 cm) from the UK to other place in the EU, that weights around 100Kg ? All I found are extremely expensive, I'd spend less money if I made 2500Km by car to collect it!

:pint:

P.S. I'm not having internet access most days now so I might take some time to answer...

You could try these guys as they have accounts all over the place. Other than that you need to bribe someone who is already making the journey

try Transport Joyau /Scheikner/.....
but if you can split the weight in some suite case, try a low cost airplaine and taxi

I don't think splitting it would be a viable option, not to mention the excess baggage surcharge. ;-)

Hmm, I think at the price Plasmas are going it's probably not worth it, thanks for the links anyway but it would be insane to do it..

Are you sure it weighs that much?  I've got a 52 inch TV and it ways only about 40 Kgs...

Then yours is definately not a CRT. If it's not a Plasma/LCD, it's one of those huge rear-projection TVs then and they don't weigh that much.

Shipping CRTs is probably not worth it especially if it's not a widescreen one. 36" Widescreen, maybe...

Those Sony 36"s really seem to weigh 200-220 Lbs, nearly 100 kg - my ex 32" was just about 70 kg...

100kg holy crap, that weighs more than me. I'd have to get a friend to help me move a tv like that. I have a 27" sony wega and I can barely move that sucker around.

A CRt?  This is 2008, who in their right mind would want a CRT in 2008?
