Have you tried going in to Early Startup and degrading the chipset to OCS? Or using a degrading utility to make your A600 more like an A500?

I've checked the "Early Startup" -(that's the `hold-both-mouse-buttons-on-boot' trick hey?)- there's no OCS option that I can see. I have other "degrader" software and a kick1.3 file... it resets to an oldschool WB blue disk thing, but then the HDD is off limits, and let's all face the osolescence of floppies together, can we? DF0: is a dreadful option.... please don't tell me that's all there is.
I downloaded about 30 of those demos from Pouet... and 4 actually loaded, and 2 of those even returned to AOS without causing a crash on exit.
My specs: Amiga a600, with 2 meg ram total, Amiga Release 2, Kickstart 37.300 Workbench 37.31- 4gb CFHD, PCMCIA CF bay.
Can anyone name one single
improvement this dreadful v2 chip has over the 1.3 release? Nothing FUN actually works on this piece of junk...
Is there any dignified (simple) way to one-click transform to the 1.3 kick, while still keeping the hard-drives accessible... and be able to run df0: intended software painlessly? (WHDLoad a bit tricky so far)
I think I need some stronger coloured rose-tinted glasses for this thing... it's making my xp machine look so much better, and that wasn't meant to happen!
