Wow, All kinds of stuff going on. At this point I would be happy running MorphOS 2.0 or OS4 on a Mac Mini.

Either one would be cool.

Having been a Pegasos I owner in the past running MOS 1.4 and now reading the problems OS4 users are having...

I'd take MOS over OS4. Of course this is coming from someone who prefers his C128 over both :-D

@redrumloa,

Yea, I'm starting to wonder if OS4 for classic was such a good idea? I mean hey, Its nice to have it for folks that have classic PPC Harware but it seems to be causing problems.

I'm quite happy with OS 3.9 on my 060 A1200 for the 68k audio apps that I use it for.

I'd rather get something more modern if I was going to run "new" amiga apps.

MorphOS 1.4 was incredible! It ran everything I threw at it that did not bang the hardware. I saw MOS becoming a dead end and sold my Pegasos, not having room for every computer I'd like to own. If the mythical MOS 2.0 really becomes available, i may have to breakdown and get it with supported hardware.

I have not been able to load the quicktime video to view it.  Has anyone else had the same problem, or has it been taken down due to some outside pressure being applied against the MOS developers? :getmad:
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

The encoding is a bit wonky, and seems to fail for some players when streaming. You should try downloading it first and then opening the file locally.

If that doesn't work, VLC or mplayer will play it at least.

This reminds me of a show report I read many years ago.  I'm sure it mentioned that Genesi were demoing MorphOS on a PowerBook.

Also, whats all this talk of Mac Minis and the rocketing of their price in relation to MorphOS and OS4?  There are loads of G4 Macs out there, other than the Mini, iBook, PowerBook, iMac, eMac, PowerMac.

I wonder if/when someone will get one of these OS's running on a Dual 2.7GHz PowerMac G5  :-)  Its just a shame these things weren't happening when these machines were still new.

That is great news! While MOS on my G3 flies already a 2nd powerful computer is always welcome. Even my gf could become a MOS user that way (she's an Apple user).

I guess that's some real egg of BBRV's face!!

How many people have Efika's that are watching MAC users having more of a chance of getting MorphOS??

I think you got the wrong picture here, as BBRV seems to like the idea...

From old threads at MorphZone i got the impression that the MOS-Team (or parts of it) are against supporting a dead platform (PPC Mac). And now - surprise. Dont know what to think about it...

No shame at all - I have one of these  :-)

This would give me reason to turn it on again  :-P
