Solidarity's a good thing. Just be careful not to let it come between you and your paying customers. ;-)

@Everyone

DiscreetFX did this as a sign of respect towards platon42 and his hard work which we appreciate very much. It will hopefully also wake up the users who usually are too lazy to give positive feedback.

For years I have encouraged all Amiga users to thank and respect everyone that takes the time to be creative: programming, art, etc....

It's what the Amiga is really about. Without that we are nothing.

I feel honored to have been part of Amigas great pioneering past. As I just said on the IFX mailing list: "I cut my teeth on Amigas and learned all my graphics skills on Amigas/DPaint/IFX/etc. I took those lessons to all future software experiences. It's the foundation I stand on. The Amiga Shadow is tall. The Amiga roots are deep."

So this is MY thank you to developers.

If you mean I don't post very often, it's mostly related to a health issue. I am getting better.

I was able to finally (!) get my IFX tutorial CD out and available for sale. (link page for those interested in knowing what the heck I am talking about).

Frankly I don't know how people have the energy to argue and fight about things that really - in the long run - don't matter.

I have to conserve my energy, so I concentrate on creative projects. I only care about leaving behind things that will live after I'm gone.

I tend to thank them by giving them my money. In Chris' case, I haven't had the opportunity, as the only USB controller I have is the doorstop Elbox sent me free of charge. ;-)

If you ever get tired of the doorstep, let me know. I have some unused PCI slots in my Mediator :-)

I have a few unused slots, too, but it's not particularly useful without Chris' stack. Unless it can hind behind openpci.library, in which I guess it will work fine. I've never tried it. . . .

@Trev

I guess it's just a matter of trying it out then :-) As for the USB stack; I'm already a regged user of Poseidon, since I have a E3B USB controller in a different system :-)

No, I ment you actually don't write me anymore.  We used to chat up in email there for a bit, and I got to missing it during my away-period.
