Warpup/BPPC question
« on: October 13, 2007, 09:22:03 PM »
Hi
Just got a question since i have my amiga up and running again.

I have installed the latest version of warpup and also added added the line to remove the BPPC.device from memory.
Now when i used to click on ata3.prefs it would recognise my ppc card but now it only reports a 68060 present,is this normal?

Then when i tried the demo of earth 2140 i get a ppc exception error.
Hope someone can help me out as i have struggled to get my amiga the way it is now over the past few months.
Thanks again.

"Edit"
Which amiga also reports a 68060 but no mention of Bppc.

Sounds like you may have the "real" ppc.library in Libs:
It has to be the WarpUp version (which emulates PowerUp).  Easiest way to check is be the version.
Primary:
A4000T. Phase5 PPC604e-233mhz/060-66mhz. Mediator, Z3 Fastlane, Voodoo5, Delfina, X-Surf, AD516, Peggy Plus.

Collection:
A4000D, A1200, A500, Milan060 (Atari clone), Atari MegaSTE, Atari TT030, C64, C128, Mattel Aquarius, (2) HP Jornada....

When you install WarpUP you get an option to either install warpos v14 or thte powerup compatible V7,now i have no idea at all which one i should choose.

Last time i installed this i choose V14 and when i did try and use V7 to see if this is why i get exceptions it wouldn't allow me to do so and i got the following message.

Sorry... an Error Has Occured!   Copylib: Can't open file  "Ram Disk:WarpUP-Warpos/V7/PowerPC.library"in line 46.

So if someone can tell which one is should choose that would be great.
Thanks
