My A3000 is connected to my home network and is used mainly for E-mail, Image Processing (Image FX) and anything where I need a fast texteditior (Cygnus Ed). I also use Bars&Pipes for sequencing. The other computers are for games that won't work on the a3k but are rarely used. I would love a Sunrize AD516 sound card or maybe a Delfine Flipper. I also wouldn't mind a towercase with mediator :-D

I have an Amiga 1200 and an Amiga 600.

The Amiga 1200 is the only one intact, but they are both in storage.
The Amiga 1200 is nice and white but the 600 is a horrible yellow.

When the A1200 is out of storage its used as a classic gaming system.

1. A4000 in mirage tower with mediator (os3.9)
-PicassoIV gfx card with palomaTV card
-Delfina Lite DSP soundcard
-Oktagon 4008 SCSI card
-Hypercomm 3z i/o card
-some random pci ethernet card
Is used for internet (email/web access, internet banking etc.) GFX, scanning, printing, CAD, word processing, games, mp3 playing (via delfinas dsp decoder), PIC programming, Accounting, and lots of other stuff
Also the palomaTV card is connected to an external security camera which keeps an eye on my car and front door, the a4k takes a snapshot every x seconds and compresses it and saves it onto a dedicated harddisk.

2. Plain A1200 (3.0)
-X10 CM12U unit for home control
-Amigatemp sensors
timer and remote controlling of various things around the house, including lighting, appliances, and control of heating pads in my snakes vivarium via amigatemp sensors.

Also have a spare a4000 (in case the main one packs in), and am planning a custom a1200 built in to my campervan booting from a CF card and with map programs, and possibly a connection to a GPS reciever.

Well, I use my A4000T/PPC mainly for web surfing and mp3 playback. I run AmigaOS3.9 and Debian 3.0 (LinuxPPC) on it, Linux is mostly for using the Opera web browser on pages that are incompatible with IBrowse.

I own four Amigas:

1988 vintage A500 with Kickstart 1.2 ROM and 512Kb RAM expansion - this machine was donated by a friend toegther with an ailing floppy drive

1990 vintage A500 with Kickstart 1.3 ROM, Commodore A501 RAM expansion, Philips Cm8833 monitor and original box.  This was my very first Amiga and is much cherished.

1992 A1200 with Kickstart 3.0 ROM, 370Mb, 2.5" HDD

1992 A1200 with Power Tower, Mediator, Voodoo 3, Apollo 1240 40Mhz accelerator, 64Mb RAM, Soundblaster 128, 10/100 Ethernet, EZKey XS keyboard interface, Twister serial interface, 1 x 11 Gb HDD and 1 x 4.3 Gb HDD.

Lastly (but not included above) is my "virtual Amiga" which is courtesy of Win UAE running on my AMD Athlon 2500.  It's a sad fact that it's compatable with all the Amiga software I own (unlike the previous 4) and is pretty much all the Amiga I'll ever need.

The UAE machine is used to run everything from vintage games to IBrowse, DPaint, music software etc and contains all my original games in .adf format.

Doomy,

What are the specs on your Amiga 2500 computer?  I am thinking of upgrading my 2000 as well.  I just got a 3.1 ROM chip that I need to install.
Going Bananas over AMIGAs since 1987...

Looking for Fusion Fourty PNG ROMs V3.4?

Insight into the autonomous thought routines used when scan browsing the fora...

The moment an A2000/A2500 is mentioned, the suspicious poster exception vector is taken and the poster/post is subconciously interrogated for any possible connection with previous incarnations of doomy. A positive hit is stored in the "ignore or ridicule" cache, depending on the mood state...

Worked example:
In this instance the handle "RottyDude" was enough to link him to BoingBoss, who had a picture of a Rottweiler puppy as his avatar for some time.
