Kickstart Switcher?
« on: June 25, 2003, 12:15:59 PM »
Do you know where I can find a kickstart switcher for my A-500? It currently has kickstart 1.3 and I would like a switcher to have the option of the 2.x kickstart via a switch. Any ideas?  :-D

I couldn't find it on ebay. If I install a 2.04 chip and use a boot disk to kick it back to 1.3, is it 100% compatible? Is it better to look for a switcher?

You would have to watch eBay for a while. If you watch for a little bit I'm sure you will see one. i don't know of anyone selling them new any more. I have one, but it's installed in a A2000 I'm about to sell :-(

Yah... Relokicker is a great thing. Works great with my A1200/A4000 too! Best thing is to have it in your startup-sequence and have it start when you press a mousebutton. :-D
