Has anyone ever got this game to correctly on WB3.0 with KS39.106 ?

Deluxe Galaga ran successfully on my A1200 with Kickstart 3.0 and Kickstart 3.1 but it was many many years ago.

You should try loading Deluxe Galaga from the floppy.

From floppy? Deluxe Galaga's a .lha archive, so im afraid I don't quite see how it was ever designed to run from a floppy (These kind of things tend to be .adf's...); but I can always give it a try when I find 5 spare minutes...

SnoopDOS? I've heard of it before, but im clueless as to what it does. Any hints?

Thanks,
Hodgkinson.

EDIT: I wonder what the chances are of the processor board being a bit funny. Might try reverting to the 68020 with the "2" key disable and see what happens then...

PS. Anyone know of a LCD monitor, capable of PC VGA, Amiga VGAonly multiscan, and video (Composite/S-Video/SCART...SCART would technicially be best with pure 15Khz video port RGB...) input? And preferably without a RF tuner...So I don't have to pay for a TV licence in my room at Uni? Suggestions?

Huh? Bugs in the OS? I'd say it was the game designers idea to not allow the game to be OS friendly and bang on the chips. That's not a fault of the OS.

The latest version of DG runs fine on my A4000 AGA-060 system. Downloaded from Aminet I believe.

Warblade kicks ass, and for some reason chicks generally dig it as well, which is another plus.

@Hodgkinson

Basically, it will give you certain details about what the program is attempting to access while it loads. It's a good general troubleshooting tool and very easy to use.

For example, a failed library call may indicate a missing, corrupted, or dated library.

Get it here.

Depending on how system friendly DG is SnoopDOS may not give much useful info, but it's worth a shot.

BTW -- I have successfully played tons of both Galaga, and Deluxe Galaga (demo version) from Workbench on my A1200.

Just churning up an old topic...

I've just got around to looking at DG with SnoopDOS. It seems that im missing (In general) lowlevel.library and nonvolatile.library.

Any ideas where I could grab these from?

Regards,
Hodgkinson.

Hodgkinson: lowlevel.library and novolatile.library are part of OS 3.1 and higher, IIRC. I know that lowlevel is used in DG for CD32 joypad support, can't see how it would cause audio problems....

Thanks for the info. I read in the docs for DG that lowlevel.library was required for joypads etc, but I didn’t know what the other lib was for.

Hmmm. I've just recently swapped from KS3.0 to KS3.1 (And I've still got the same problem) but im still running WB3.0.
Im planning on updating to WB3.1 one day...

I've just found Edgar's new site...Might drop him a line...
