I wrote a few lines about this war-thing awhile back:

In a way this situation is good and bad.

Good as it brings discussion in forums that might be much more quiet otherwise. There are people digging issues and facts of the rival company (some call it mudslinging, but atleast I have had lots of fun following what has been found about AI and Genesi. Better than The Bold and the beautiful :)

Bad, as it has brought bad blood and hatred amongts some members of the community. Some people do take this hobby a bit too seriously imho.

I think it's good all around... PC got where it is today by it's diversity... Apple stayed where it is because of it's closed-ness. Which model would you rather follow?

A4000D, A3640 OC-36.3MHz, custom tower, Mediator A4000D. Diamond Banshee 16M, Indivision AGA 4000, GVP HC+8.

Mac Mini 1.5GHz, that might run MorphOS someday, when the fools who own it come to the realization that 30 minutes just isn\'t enough time to play with it enough to decide whether or not you like it enough to cough up $200.

 - Someone please design SOME kind of DIY accelerator for the A4000. :D -

For the most part I agree with Hooligan.  The mudslinging can produce interesting reading, challenges to overcome, and general intrest in both sides.  Conversly, this "war" can take people who would otherwise be friencly and turn them into mortal opponants.

Personally, I'm happy to see that there are many people who can still be this passionate about our platform.
