Ok, my Amiga/Computer story.

Got my first computer in 1983.
TI-99 4/A.
Atari 800XL.
Atari 65XE.

1988 - Amiga 500 with 1MB RAM, 1084 Monitor, and external floppy drive.  It was love at first sight.  A good friend of mine had an A500 and showed it to me.  I was stunned at what it did.  My first game was Arazok's Tomb.  I used ProWrite for word processing and had a Panasonic 1123 printer.  I had 2 different A500's until around 1992.
Had some financial problems and sold all of my computer stuff.
Then I got a 386sx-16 which I used for a while and went through 486's, Pentiums, etc...

Sadly, my good friend that introduced me to the Amiga passed away from cancer.  After the funeral his parents informed me he had left me all his Amiga stuff.  I got LOTS of software, an A2000HD, monitor, and other parts.  I started using it for both personal and business stuff for quite some time.  But eventually for work reasons I had to store it and go back to a PC.

In 2000 I got introduced to Everquest and played online games for years.  Kept having to upgrade my PC's to be able to play those games.  I don't play them anymore.  They can take TOO much of one's time.

About 2 years ago I started reading up on the Amiga when I found this site and the Amiga bug bit me again.  HARD!

I've got several A500's, 2 A1000's, A2000, A600HD, 3 A1200's, A4000D, and sooooo many parts and pieces.  I've just recently finished inventorying my software collection and I've got over 220 boxed Amiga programs.  Games and productivity.  I keep 2 Amigas out at any time.  Right now I'm using;
A1200 listed in my sig and
A500, GVP A530 68030-40Mhz, with 8MB RAM, 540MB HD.

I'm excited that someday a company will come out with a AmigaOS4 compatible computer that I can buy.  Efika or SAM or both!  A Minimig type device would be great too!

My wife doesn't understand the Amiga craving but she indulges me as I don't stay on them all the time.

Enjoy the Amiga!  It was always meant to be a user-friendly and fun computer and I think it still stands today!
Amiga - The fun computer!

Amiga 500 - 3MB, A590, 250MB HD, SupraTurbo28.
Amiga 1200HD - 32MB, 4GB CF-Card, GVP 68030-40Mhz.
Amiga 600HD
