HAHAHAAH! Now that was hilarious.

I was thinking along the same lines, but I was thinking,

"I have something related to OS5..... IT'S CRAP! :)"

On this website, that question is flame bait, sadly. Instead of just pointing you to the only information there is, namely pretty much just Amiga saying it was in the works, people will just fight about who's got the better insult. :-(

I'm sure I'm going to be able to make test-tube honest politicians in my home growing kit, before any commercially viable Amiga anything new comes out to play.

Fleecy and I are working on OS5 in house. Yes, it will run on A1200 with 030 card. If everything goes well, Amigans should have a nice Christmas present to look forward to this year.

Wow, I need to get shopping. I didn't know Christmas was only 2 more weeks away!

LMAO!

Oh BTW, my two 040 cards and one 030 card have died and I dont' expect the last 030 card to last till Xmas. So by the time you get done it won't matter much to me any way "Fleecy" :-)

Aw man, that's a real bummer. Maybe they can be repaired somehow. I've been *very* lucky with my old hardware so far, but I know one day it'll be my number. I would be fairly upset if my C128 crapped out. (Though all I do is fire it up for a few minutes every 5 years, LOL.)

Heh heh, yeah, truth is I'm too lazy to find something cool and original. Most of what I would pick is either way too geeky (my g/f does actually check here once in a while), or entirely o/t for a computer site.

Perhaps, but even as a repair tech of 20+ years, they just aren't worth the time and money to me. I was saving for a PowerVixxen instead, but no one has said lately if that project is still alive or dead. How nice it would be to have OS4 on one of those.

Also I forgot to mention my MKIII 060 card that quit too. Not even a trip to the repair center in France to could save it. So I donated the parts that other cards might live. :-)

As for Ami Inc's mention of "in house" OS5..... I don't think we'll see that on much more than a cell phone, IF it ever sees the light of day. Ami Inc hasn't shown me that they are willing to spawn a desktop of any kind. Each time there's a mention of a new motherboard project, the response seems to be "Good luck with that", if there's a response at all. I'd be more optimistic about OS4 and OS5 if we saw Ami Inc actually partnering with a hardware developer.... Cell, PPC, x86... any thing. Has any one seen news of such a partnership?

Plaz, you are a gentleman and a scholar. The Amiga world needs more men, like you.

Wait....
