OS 3.9 Boot Error
« on: April 05, 2007, 02:21:08 PM »
I accidentally deleted the ā€˜C’ folder so I re installed OS 3.9 over the top of the last installation (along with both boing bags) Now at boot up I get the error messages:

Error: 0100 0003  Task: 78015DF8 or 78017BF0

Any ideas as to how to fix this?

try this: boot from the emergency disk and reinstal the boing bags...
amiga os 3.9 updates
A3040/25 AmigaOS 3.9
A1260BPPC AmigaOS 3.9/4.0
Sam440ep AmigaOS 4.1.2
PegasosII/G3 AmigaOS 4.1.2/MorphOS 2.7/Debian 5.0.7/SUSE 11.1
MacMini/G4 1.5 MorphOS 2.7/OSX 10.5.8
Long Live Amiga

If i am going to have bugs on my system,
at least let me keep the latest versions.

Are you by chance using an Amiga 3000?  I see your sig says you own and A500 and A1200, though.

Well...just try removing AmiDock from WBSTARTUP and see if it helps.

Download SnoopDOS from aminet and put it in the startup-sequence, they will tell you what's wrong.

Or use other debugging tool.

Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.

SnoopDos looks like a useful tool thanks! The error messages have magicly disappeared. Perhaps it was/is an intermittent hardware fault? Hopefully all is well again    :-)

The new ROM update included in BB2 might cause problems. Have you installed it? If so, disable (rename) it in DEVS: and enable the the older one.

I would rather install some antivirus, just to be sure.
