AmigaKit.com, my favorite Amiga supplier, please let us know here when you have the NOS A1200's.  I would love to get another one.

Do you know if any of them will be NTSC with US power supplies?

Thanks!

Pain of posting it abroad, international postage insurance, international warranty etc.

I wouldnt sell anything to someone in Europe via auction... too much like hard work.

I think it isn't more work, since you probably have to ship it anyway. Items are insured automatically with most delivery companies. And if you're in a european country you won't be able to avoid european warranty laws. I sold stuff on ebay to international bidders (including UK) quite a few times, never had a problem. That actually is the cool thing about ebay and the EU.

Ok, I understand that you guys from that island sometimes don't like the idea that everybody has gotten so close, do you?  :-D

That's why the UK always refers to the mainland as Europe. WTF? What continent do think they're on?  ;-)

on the flip side when I order stuff from my supplers they keep attaching these stupid two pin things thinking we use euro plugs, bahh not a chance.
/me goes and cuts off another two pin thing off his IEC lead.

to be fair though, I run a little ebay shop and have never had any problems sending stuff abroad but only up to 1kg, any more and royal mail airmail is out and things start costing the earth, I cant sent any soldering irons anywhere for example (2.2kg) because postage would be £30+ by parcelforce.
And the A1200 box is a massive one.

There has been talk about british postal prices before on a.org which showed its not the sellers, its just the postal service. (Even using european and US services like UPS and... those euro ones ;-) )

oh and dont expect us to be using any euro's any time soon.
A customer came and tried to pay with them and I went Oiiii NOOOoooo  :-D

PMC's experience is enough for me to not have anything to do with them.

They are selling them, factory sealed, with Swedish keyboards (you can ask for UK keyboard) with various HDD options.

It is weird that they are Swedish keyboards though - every one of them.

It might be worth asking for a UK keyboard in addition to the sealed unit so that you at least see the warranty seal in place.  Replacing the keyboard can't be that difficult.  At least you would know your new 1200 is indeed as they say, "brand new and sealed".

The keyboard takes seconds to swap out - I picked up a NOS A1200 from Eyetech a few years back (one of the Escom ones) and it had a German keyboard - they also sent me a UK keyboard to replace it with. The keyboard just has a ribbon that you have to slot in and the job's done :-)
