Reading that I can't help but think that he was specifically brought in to break up C=. Every position listed there mentions restructuring.

What if he was just doing what he was told? ie. break it up so it can be sold.

Either way, we all lost.

Damn, I just made myself sad :-(

There are actually some companies that hire people like that to assassinate the companies they own. I know it's all about conspiracies and stuff, but that kind of stuff happens.

where he accomplished a major operational turnaround

Oh, man. I just don't have any comment that does this line justice.

but he was right. wasn't commodore doing reasonably well before he took over? i call that an operations turnaround. marketing speak while hoping nobody digs into his credentials.
The only stupid question is a question not asked.

I don't think he was brought in  to break Commodore Up, I think he just found that it was very profitable and enjoyed the process so much he turned it into a career :-)

I think he was someone who didn't understand the computer industry, so decided to set himself up by robbing the company blind and smahing it to peices.

Isn't this the guy who a bunch of commodore techs made a doll out of and torched after the drunken night after commodore went under? I remember seeing that on deathbed vigil a while back.  Nice site, though. stole the marble background.

All the "transactions" are generically listed as "company". They did so well, those companies don't even need names!

@Vlabguy1:

I like that idea. Maybe we should setup a fund for this?

Ugh, not too far from you?  I went to school there and still drive through it on the way to work.

Probably a rough second to Greenwich as an enclave for money, so it's not really a surprise... but with all the media attention such funds are getting, it would be nice to attract some to these claims.

As to the real fate of CBM, I get the impression that most late management, especially management brought in, just figured it was doomed for not focusing on the growing and lucrative 'IBM'/Windows market and acted 'appropriately.'  Since none of the other players left (excluding failing Atari, struggling Apple, and layoff-happy IBM) were very reliant on in-house R&D, CBM was in a rough position no matter what... and Hombre-as-a-GPU could've been the product to make the R&D business profitable, but by then the looting was in full swing.

This might be illegal, but are there any volunteersnipers around here for hire. Maybe we could come up with a bounty.

I think death by dropping an A4000 on him from a great height (like off of stone ridge partners building) would be proper.   :lol:  :lol:
