Almost a disaster
« on: February 19, 2007, 07:22:27 PM »
Ok this is off topic for this place, but all the same......
I swapped bedrooms over I went from a box room to my daughters room (she has moved out now) and there is more room.
As I finished doing the wires, Internet, shelves and what not, I let fall a 1541 MkII drive unit about 14" to the ground face first.

This I thought was a goner, switched it on thinking the very worst and it worked perfectly.
I have to say these drives are robust or at least mine is.
I got away with it, it could have been damaged.
Any one else had this happen?
Like how robust are these things?

Am I lucky or what.

Mike.

For sure they can take a hit... Id imagine if it landed with the bottom down, it would have a great chance to crack the board.
