Well, I have the exact same issue with my 4000T.

The original and a replacement 3640 work just fine, but putting either a MKII or MKIII with a 060 at 50 Mhz will not work. No Kickstartscreen asking for a Workbench disk, not even a trigger of the screen signal. My monitor enters standby mode and when you start the Amiga with the 3640 card in it, it will leave standby and enter the regular display mode asking for the workbench, but with the MK boards, it will not work. Of course the jumpers are in the EXT position, also in a 4000D or 3000T the cards work, so anyone out there who knows why that is???

 :-?

i've often noticed, this kind of problems, on A4000T and on some A3000 (both system has its own SCSI controller).

Could be possible, that the CSMKIII SCSI controller with its own driver, can interferee with the A4000T SCSI one.

Ciao

AFAIK the CSMKII, needs the 50 MHZ crystal installed on the mobo.

Got my Cyberstorm MkII 060 back yesterday!
Works like new. In fact I hadn't noticed but prior to the MkII's death, the 16mb of memory on the A4000T's motherboard had not been showing up. Now it does. I now see 146mb .
Strange but the A4000T now seems just as fast as when it had been overclocked to 60Mhz- maybe Jean Jacques of http://www.amiga.fr  did some tinkering :)
It is so nice to have a fast Amiga again- it really hits home when you go back to 040/25Mhz total 16mb of memory - comparatively speaking a once powerful and productive machine degrades almost to a games machine.
My sincere thanks and admiration for Jean Jacques. I can't recommend his service highly enough.
(Note ; He explicitly states that overclocking Cyberstorms is NOT a good idea)

The owners name is Jean-Jacques and is a really nice, garralouis guy - tell him the guy in Japan with the broken Cyberstorm sent you :)
( I'm NOT on commission)
I'd like to help him get more customers. As our classic Amigas get older a guy like him is invaluable.
