@crunb

looking at a variety of postings from around the time (2001) of the blittersoft takeover there seems to be no port support at all - serial, parallel, ethernet, scsi or any other. Having
said that csppc scsi works...

Mac Mini G4 (1.5GHz, 64MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.6
Powerbook 5.8 (15", 1.67GHz, 128MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.8.

Windows-free since 2011-2014 (Damn you Netflix!)

Assuming you'd have working PPC Linux running on CSPPC, I wonder if MacOnLinux would work?

Mac OS X on Pegasos 2

Networking works with MOL at least.

What is the best MacOS to use with iFusion on a 233mHz PPC 604e A4000?  MacOS 8.5, 8.6, 9.0, 9.1, 9.2, 9.2.2???

9.04 should be the fastest re tests done when iFusion came out; 9.1 is the last they tested to be working. Probably from 8.6 up, don't remember.

@Piru

Didn't think of that! (tosses copy of iFusion over shoulder)

Damn good suggestion..

@Piru
That MOL deal looks pretty sweet.

It just leaves the sorry business of installing Linux APUS. I remember there being two options: Debian PPC or Linux PPC 2000 (Redhat derivative). Which Linux distro is the sensible choice? I somehow favor Debian but I'm not sure which version to go for or which latest Debian supports Linux APUS anymore? There hardly seems to be any recent documentation about it.

Is the CyberStormPPC UW-SCSI Controller supported?

Yes. The driver is built into kernels 2.4.18 upwards. It is still very much in testing..so please give it a good testing and report any issues!

(Thanks: Rene Brothuhn, Fred Heitkamp)

That's a relief - most of the documentation regarding APUS states the CS scsi is not supported (yet).
I'm going to give APUS a try over the next week then if I can find the time.

On a less positive note:

I want to use MOL (Mac On Linux) When will you support this?

As far as we are aware, the LinuxAPUS kernel is okay. MOL itself needs to be altered to work with our APUS memory system. Feel free to email Alan Buxey if you want to join in with help on this (he's limited by his 603e which MOL doesnt work with right now)

Taken from here - last updated 2003.
Mac Mini G4 (1.5GHz, 64MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.6
Powerbook 5.8 (15", 1.67GHz, 128MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.8.

I'd really like to enjoy Macintosh Emulation on my Amiga 4000 CSPPC with 604 200Mhz and 060 50 MHZ.

Moreover I'd like to install Linux Too.

So I'd like to get as much information as possibile to INstall Both the OS. Is there any site from wich I can download All the file and the complete documentation to Install a complete Linux Distribution?

What About the MOL issue? IS there anyone that was able to use MacOS through MOL?

I'm going to decide what's the best between iFusion and MOL but I don't even know where to stat!

I was thinking about iFusion... it's a very old program nowadays, and moreover MacOS is an Intel based sistem...
Moreover we have MOL...

Why doesn't Mocrocode Solution release it as an open source project? It would be a nice opportunity to make it work better.

What about a petiton or something like that from Amiga.org?

Because Mircocode Solution sold iFusion to BlitterSoft and since that time big silents.

About MacOS, this is also Intel not only Intel. But since iFusion supports only MacOS 9 its completly PowerPC.

Has anybody done this before? How does MOL perform with CSPPC? Is it usable?

Just curious: Why is iFusion limited to only OS9.1? I'm asking this question because Apple only supported upto OS9.1 on the Apple 9600/300 (which I'm using now) but after a quick modification of a text file OS9.2 installed without nagging and I'm using it for almost a year now.

On
xlr8yourmac.com is well explained how to.
Get a SAM, while you can! The new AMIGA is here!

iFusion came out before 9.2 I think, at least the development was "finished".

I remember installing Mac OS 9.1 on my Beige G3 Tower.(which mind you I'm also thinking about selling too). It was shut a fun little thing.

Now that I think about it, I think about how slow it is, and how much work it was trying to get stuff that would run on Mac OS. I know everyone hates Microsoft and all, but I know at least then there was more stuff shaking and baking then.

I wouldn't even waste my time with iFusion and trying to play with Mac Stuff on the Amiga. I would just go out and buy me a 8000/9000 or G3 that would be faster then what most people have in their 68k Amiga machines.
