Hardware worth?
« on: December 05, 2006, 08:23:22 PM »
 I need to raise some money (to meet my soul mate he he), so I am going to give up some more of my classic Amiga hardware in order to do so. Unfortunatly I don't know the worth of what I have. So if anyone can give me some ideas before I post it, that would be helpful!

 Anyhow, here's what I got:

 DKB 1240 030 40mhz with 32Mb RAM. (FPU not included, already updated for 3.1 Kickstart).

 3Com Etherlink III 10 Base-T Lan PC Card PCMCIA  3c589D-TP

 GVp DSS8+ Digital Sound Studio with Manual (not sure if I have working floppies)

 Catweasal MK2 Controller with Floppy (not sure how to test, but is said to have worked when last used).

 Vic+ Music Composer cart with Case for Vic 20.

 Thankx in advance!

I think you may get £50 to £80 depending on how good your ebay Advert is.

Lots of high res photographs, pictures of the manual. Guarantee it dead on arrival etc. and you'll make your £80

For some reason, I think that was a typo. :)

Exactly, I meant "guarantee it AGAINST being DOA".

All you do is send it recorded delivery and if it turns out to be DOA, make a claim.

Just by putting this in your advert will put most peoples minds at rest and they will part with another 10-15%

@XDelusion

3com alone is very cheap on EBay, at least I got mine for 1GBP (and paid 9 more for handling+shipment, the seller was so pissed of on the price that he threw in another one for free, without the cable though..) So imho you can get more for it in bundle with other stuff or sell it to someone who looks for one that is "known to work with Amiga"
