I checked out the cable for the hard drive, taking care about those four pins and now it works great. I had to fiddle about with the floppy drive though because it wouldn't sit quite right and every time I closed up the case would stop the floppy ffrom coming out! so in the end I had to leave that side of the Amiga a little loose. Problem solved. And the joystick works perfectly at last.

I have a few questions still. I found a disk called relokick1.3 and was wondering how I use that? Also found another disk kickstart2.0 which states it only works with 1.2/1.3. I think it's something to do with games. Will they allow me to play my a500 plus games too? How do I use them.

Also I want to put some of my games on HDD how do I do that? If HDToolbox is used for this, I can't get it to work   What is WHDload? I don't have it, could I get this with instructions?

Some A1200 games have install programs on the disk, while others have to be installed by using a utility like WHDload. Then you can download installers and chipset/timing patches that allow you to play A500 games from the hard disk.

I just bought a license and I'm really enjoying it!

relokick is usefull for older games: boot with relokick then insert the game disk and it'll emulate kickstart 1.3 ala A500. Kickstart 2.0 is of no use to u, I assume u have 3.1 installed on your HD. HDToolbox has nothing to do with games on HD. For that it's WHDLoad. WHDLoad and installers for various games are on aminet, many games though require the registered version of WHDLoad to work, so read the guide from the WHDLoad archive of how you can get registered.

Remember to take Relokick disk out quickly when it writes to the screen "rekicking now".
