Elbox Drivers wanted!!!
« on: October 04, 2006, 05:21:01 PM »
Hi Guys,

I got some elbox products second hand. I have send a mail to Elbox but that has been over a week now and still no reply.

Would someone be willing to mail me the drivers or maybe send them via messenger?

FASTATA MKII (maybe MKIII would also work)
EIDE '99 (the 4way adapter)
1200LT4 (it hase got the new mach chips on it)
got a cd with drivers for the 1200LT4 but these drivers are old.

Greetings Henk Velthoven

AFAIK, the drivers and software are a bundle kit.  I could be wrong about that but I atleast know the Multimedia CD has all the stuff you really need and it is $$$ from Elbox unles you buy the hardware from them...

i think the Multimedia cd is only for Mediator. You should mail them again, or wait for some helpful Amiga user with these drivers..

Elbox will only help you out, if you have there products registered to you. So regardless if you bought the item new or second hand you'll need to register with them.

Oh FFS, they're just drivers. They will only work if you own the hardware, so it's not like he shouldn't be using them. I've got the Mediator CD and I think a FastATA floppy somewhere. Check your PM :-)

Well, how ever you get the drivers, it's a really good Idea to register.  They send updates and whatnot that would be really good to have for the future...

Well Moto, this is something you need to take up with Elbox not me :-) I guess its simply there way of keep track of there products.

but as J-Golden points out it is a good idea to register your product for the updated drivers, it takes 2seconds to send them a email.

I am with Moto. sometime it take ages until you get the drivers from Elbox but it's always good to register your product with Elbox. And don't forget the Amiga Mediator Board. You can always ask Elbox for new drivers.

I'm inthe same boat as the OP.  I have just bought a FastATA controller card from eBay with no drivers and no registration details.

Can someone supply me with the drivers or the details on how to register?

Thanks,

Steve

if you want to register send your serial number located under the FastATA and send it to support@elbox.com along with your name and address and email. Note that they will only register your card if it has not been registered before.

OK Thanks but if the card has been registered before, how does one go about getting the drivers?  It's not like I can use them without the hardware.

Excellent!  Now I just have to wait for the card to reach me.

I believe the card I'm expecting is a FastATA Mk1.  Can you tell me the difference between this one and the later MkIII?  They look the same and I assume they use the same drivers.

not sure what differences there are between those, but they have different drivers so I guess there must be some difference :)
