Dude, given the rarity of those cards I don't think the pricing is that unreasonable; expecially given how many of the accelerators that were produced have since died or developed faults.

If you want the price to drop, you can buy the rights to produce the designs from DCE and start your own production run. Until then expect price rises on these things to happen again in the future as they become even rarer.

Well i am glad you think its okay to artificially inflate a price of a "Refurbished" unit, he probably obtained for alot less on ebay and that he probably just doused with a blast of compressed air, Think about your comment next time you have to replace a piece of Amiga hardware cos it died, so lets start again.. MK-II, with 128MB of ram on offer here for US$850 plus postage.

It's been inflated from $548 to $850 already?

I gotta start selling some miggy stuff myself before it bottoms out again :-P

Well lets face it, Winuae is now at a level where is pretty near perfect, or even SURPASSES the original amiga.

The Hardware is always going to be priced at a level of Supply and demand, meaning that its one thing Amigakit asking $548 for the processor card (and yes i am aware it has 128MB ram on it)but he has yet to sell it at that price. but in todays market, what would $548 buy, if its put toward a decent PC system, Its certainly going to buy more in a few weeks, with the iminent release of the Intel Conroe cores and the related AMD 30-50% price cut.

Finances depending, and hardware availability, I can smell a  dual CPU socket motherboard coming.. (Anyone say Quad core ?)

When complaining about the price of refurbished units vs. ebay sales, remember that when you buy a referb you get a years guarantee. Don't want it? buy one off ebay.

You can never surpass the amiga in terms of emulation. It wouldn't be an emulation than.

I don't know AmigaKit because I'm in Italy but it's website is very very good.

In Italy, for me, the best is VirtualWorks that I use. Another good dealer is Soft3...both good dealers.

Dear Vidale (Virtualworks) and Tretene (soft3) thanks for your help and support.

Gotta give a thumbs up to Amigakit :)  I got my Cyberstorm MK2 in the mail the other day and it's now running happily in my A4000T.  An '060 really adds a new dimension to the miggy :)

:-o Nuts, must've missed the mug section... was in a hurry and ordered 3.1 ROMs. Arrived in Ireland a couple of days later, extremely well packaged. My only disappointment is that he didn't push me to buy a mug as well ;-) Oh well, there's always next time!!

its a nice shop, just expensive!  Not everything just the things I want are way overpriced! (a bit of a nickle and dime situation)  Also I would not expect anything to show up fast here in the US, esp with the situation right now. I have just waited about a month for a package from england... Nice to have an amiga shop if you realy can't find it on ebay...

Just adding my vote for AmigaKit.  Nice fast service and quick delivery, even to Canada.

It took only one week for my stuff to arrive, including going through the friendly Canadian Border Safety people.

This sounds like a hidden advertising campaign from the Canadian Tourist Board :-)

Ontopic: I haven't bought anything from Amigakit yet, but I probably will in the future.

I have to add my vote too (a Brazillian one).

Having some trouble to find a new chip to replace a broken one in my Scandoubler, and Mr. Matthew is giving me a big big help to solve my problem.

Great responsiveness, and great good will.

For sure they are in the best Amiga Dealers of all time list. One of the top ones !

No, I think he was being sarcastic. They're not that friendly.
