This is a cool find. If I bought the machine, I would DEFINITELY use it. The stuff has no hours on it and therefore the equipment (barring any manufacturer defect) is still new and would likely last a good long time.
It is already outside the range of my allowance at this time, my wife would poop pink twinkies sideways at the price it is currently going for, (even though I know for a new in a box find as rare as this, it is nothing). My prediction with 3 days and some change to go, that it will pull in $1000 for the owner.
Amiga is the only platform that defies the law of old machines! If you have a PC from 1990, you will be lucky to sell it for $50. Amiga on the other hand is always at least triple that amount for a good one.
Anyhow, I hope the new owner of the box takes great care of it. In 20 years, may it still be running strong!
I would check the battery straight away if I bought it.
