That's odd, someone in Amsterdam spoofed me on Moob.

Moo Bunny

Nothing really bad said, but why spoof me? Hoping someone will troll it? :-?
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

Yes, and here I thought we were going to have a long hot summer without comic relief!

Now I'm waiting for the treasure trove of stuff Wood bought from AI's landlord to show up.

Mars will show signs of life before Amiga, Inc. does. We have what we might think could be fossilized microorganisms from Mars and other clue like past liquid water, which is more than can be said for Amiga, Inc. What ever came of that NHL deal?

Looks like the little NHL logo at the top-right on the nhl.amiga.com page was the full extent of the deal.  A search for 'Amiga' on the entire NHL.com site brings back no matches.

Oh, the is that drawing of the motorcycle. Wouldn't a high end PDA that could run the games in their online store be more in light with their assumed business. Oh, and the recent MobleZone deal. Has anyone seen anyone playing their games or new games (if any)?

I've never seen or talked to anyone outside of the Amiga community who even knew that Amiga was now selling PDA games, never mind actually played one of them.

The best game on AmigaDE/Anywhere is still Planet Zed, but even that is starting to look very old (it is getting on for five years old now) compared to modern PDA and cellphone games.  Most of the others are very simplistic puzzle / crossword games.

This is just too funny.  I especially like the target dates shown on that one photo.

Best laugh I've had in a long time.

I doubt Amiga Inc. had this removed... surely if there is someone with the intent to clone redrumloa on a Dutch website there is similar intent to write to eBay with a fake reply-to?

I think we should always look to the potential good things that can happen soon such as the home-brew hardware, software developments etc.

After all, this is what the Amiga has always been about! Never mind the owners...

Put a smile on your face troops, it's Amiga's 21st birthday in 2 months. I hope there are plenty of plans to celebrate this traditional coming-of-age: parties and big gatherings are a must!

@Red

Does that report affect your rating or standing with Ebay at all? And how do we know it was really AI that hollered?

Is that a good thing? How long will they let AROS have free reign?

If Team AROS is brought down with legal issues we could set up our own underground operating system group. It could be called 'Amiga-Renaissance System Enhancer' (ARSE).

I can however imagine someone like Bill Buck trying to get ahold of a copy to start more pathetic drama against Amiga Inc and their guys over a product and situation that just doesn't matter any more.

See, thing is this isn't really a concern, no matter how deluded AInc are, even they will be well aware that they can't touch AROS, it's a legal fact that you are allowed to reverse engineer proprietary software. Haiku is a perfect example of this, they're reimplementing BeOS 5, in fact, I think there's even such a clone of Windows, think it's called ReactOS.

In their case someone did try and threaten them, but it was only in alleging that they'd used actual elements of the NT source code that had allegedly been leaked. As the AROS team has no access to the AOS3.1 code, I'm pretty sure no one has access except those who originally made it and Hyperion, there's no risk of them falling into this legal pithole.

That is so pathetic and lame. Sad, but so Bill Buck.
I'm not sure if it's two kindergardeners fighting over a toy or two rabid coy dogs fighting over an old rotting steak.

@Plaz

Sorry for the slow response, I've been out of town. All we know is someone claiming to be Amiga Inc complained, probably from a @amiga.com email address. My eBay account should be ok, as I don't sell pirate items, period. It does tick me off though. :angry:

@Argo

I don't know if I can agree with you. It's probably not a popular view, but I think Buck should persue his right to damages. Putting aside all personal issues people have with Buck, as valid as they may be, Amiga Inc did not deliver DE(Which at the time *WAS* called OS4 as this flyer shows).

Let the egg throwing commence :egad:
