started using amigas back in 1984. I was working at rockwell at the time and there was an amiga place (Transnational electronics) that sold amigas. I had to have one and have ever since. Then I got my younger brother a 500 when they came out and he still has three or four. hahah, there like family, cant let them go.

I'm 54
My first computer (excluding a programmable HP calculator was an Osborne 1 (8 bit 4 MHz Z80A processor with 64k of memory!) The first time I saw an A1000 I was entranced, but the first Amiga I owned was an A2000 when they first came out.  I ran that computer for years on the 68000 processor with 1 meg of memory until I finally got a hard drive card.  The mere fact of having the hard drive card soaked up enough memory such that a number of my programs would no longer run, then I added 8 megs more memory. Imagine 9 megs of memory being about all that one could possibly use! I now have 7 different types of amiga (2000, 500, 600, 1200, 3000T, CDTV, and CD32) plus a number of Thinkpads and the family has at least 1 P4 class machine each.

I'm 35. My first computer back in 1982 (I think!) was a TRS-80 CoCo. I bought my first Amiga (an A500+) in 1993! (quite late, I know, but it's been 13 years now...)

I'm sure I've already replied to this thread once, but can't be bothered reading through.

I'm 28, my first 'puter was a ZX Spectrum 48k, then an Amiga 500, then a succession of PCs, then I rediscovered the Amiga and am drowning in hardware.
I like Amigas

I wasn't sure myself either, but I *could* be bothered, so I found out I didn't reply to this thread yet :-)

I'm 29, with only 60 days left in my roaring twenties, althought the first half of my twenties was far more roaring than the second part.
Maybe I'll start roaring again in the first half of my thirties....

32 now on a repost

got my 1st computer with paper-boy money. it was an atari 800xl. later i got a 400 and 800.
then i got a c64 a couple of vic20s an apple2+ then a 64c.
later i got two a1000's then a 1200 then sold that to get a 3000
spinkled along the way were numerous homebuilt pcs for myself and others.

now im thinking of getting back into the 8bit arena with a c64 or 128 or an atari.
Oh yeah?!?
Well your stupid bit is set,
and its read only!

I'm 31. My first computer was a C64 in 1989, which I got by crying, crying and crying until my mom bought me one. Pulled the same stunt in April of 1991 to get me an A500. Shameless, I know. My parents weren't rich and an A500 was lots of money for them back then. I appreciate what they did for me all the more today, because it sparked my love for technology, for which I still have lots to thank for today.  :-)

19 - kinda surprising to see I'm not the youngest person here, but that's definitely a good thing :-)

Used my brother's A500 a lot when I was younger, which is when the Amiga bug bit.  My first PC was a 486 though, followed by a 1Ghz Athlon system (now upgraded to a Athlon64 3000+).  I've got a slightly-expanded A1200 which is great for playing games on at uni.  Haven't exactly got the money at the moment for anything NG however :-(

Talking of which, are any students here on facebook?  There's an Amiga group there (with a link to A.org no less!) but only 23 of us there.

---edit---

Forgot the speccy!
