FOR SALE: Amiga 2000,1084 & More
« on: January 25, 2006, 05:30:14 PM »
Hello Folks,

This system is actually not on ebay yet because, to be perfectly frank, I hate ebay with a passion and I am also trying to avoid shipping this at any cost. It's large, heavy and has a 1084 monitor, all of which are difficult and expensive to ship.

Although, I understand that this is a longshot, I am posting here first so that possibly someone near my area (Easton, Massachusetts, USA) might want to pick this up from me.

Here is what I have:

- Amiga 2000 System Unit (Rev. 4.1 Mainboard) in nice shape, normal scuffs here and there. 68000, 1.3 ROM, 512k chip, 512k fast. This is an early model with a low serial number in the 2000 range and, it's the only A2000 I have that will even load "tricky" games like the original R-Type and Blood Money.
- (2) C= 2MB RAM Boards installed and working great.
- (1) C= 2091 SCSI controller, no memory installed, 4GB SCSI HD with TONS of software on it. Installed and working great.
- (1) Standard Amiga floppy drive.
- C= 1084 RGB monitor, the "Philips/Magnavox" one with the flip-down front cover that is always broken. In decent shape, ok picture once it warms up.
- (2) Amiga 23-pin to 6-pin DIN RGB cables for the above monitor.
- (2) Amiga 2000 keyboards, these are nice original 2000 kb's, not the cheaper ones which were missing the "C=" keys. Both working and in nice condition.
- (1) Original Amiga mouse. I have to be honest, although this mouse does work, the left mouse button sucks. Plain and simple.
- (2) Joysticks: 1 ZipStick, which is awesome, and another no-name stick which works, but is complete crap.

Extra Stuff Thrown In:
- (1) Spare 1.3 ROM with Workbench and Extras disks.
- (1) Fully function 3.1 ROM chip and install floppies. I don't use the 3.1 ROM in the system because I like 1.3, but, it has been tested in this 2000 and it works fine.
- (1) Spare SCSI drive. 4GB I think and it works just fine as well.
- (1) 68000 CPU
- (1) 68040 CPU (25Mhz)
- A small stack of floppies which have games and utilities on them, but, since they are "copies" I am going to call them "blanks" and you can do what you wish with them.

There is possibly more stuff, but, I cannot remember it all off hand. Again, I would rather sell this to someone in my area or close enough by to come and pick it up than to ship it anywhere. My apologies in advance for those who might want to buy it but are far away or in other countries. It's just too hard to ship this stuff and I worry about it getting there in good shape as well.

I do not have pictures handy, but, will take some and gladly send them to anyone interested.

As far as price, make me an offer. I have been working with Amiga's for a long time and so have most people on this site, I think that we all know what a fair offer is and I trust people's judgement.

I would love to keep this, but, since my souped up WinUAE setup, I have little or no use for it and would like to see it in a good home.

Sorry for the really long post!

Thanks,
Mike

I know you posted this a very long time ago, but I was wondering if you might still have it? I have been hunting for an Amiga 2000 locally, and yours is the first I have found, but then I saw this was posted in 2006. If you still have it and are still willing to sell it, I could make you an offer.

Where is "Locally" for you?  I have a couple of A2000's that I would be willing to sell, if you are still interested in buying one of them.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Sadly, it is no where near your location, I live in the same town as drwho who posted above. But how hard would it be for you to ship one of these?

Not hard, but maybe expensive due to the weight of an A2000.  Give me your address in a PMail and I can calculate what the shipping would be.  After you know what the shipping will be you can make me an offer for one of my A2000's if you want.  I think they are both revision 6.x motherboards.

Edit:  PMail sent with shipping estimates.

Sorry man, this was gone a long, long time ago.

I have another A2000 now, but, I've been "building it up" for a while and don't want to let it go.

I hope you were able to make a deal for an A2000 otherwise though, one of the best Amiga's ever in my opinion.

By the way, you mentioned that you live in the same place as me, I don't think there are many Amiga people left here anymore, PM me if you'd like. Two Amiga users is always better than one.

Thanks,
Mike

Yeah, I kind of assumed as much from the date of your post, however I've been asking around and have two other offers waiting right now, so hopefully I can get one of those.
