Boxed Phoenix Upgrade

Kinda makes you wonder if it realy is "New" I keped all my boxes for my Amiga 4000D Including the plastic wrap I have two of the 1084 monitors and a 1960 that all still look as good as new.

Yup, here. I am one of the luck slobs that got one of the recent (and probably last) "production".
I didn`t have the time to assemble everything though.
Economical it makes absolute no sense, as you would get an A1200 with an 040 for the price it costed, but it is one hell of a collectable and is way cool, especially if you got the custom made 030 card (the only accelerator ever made specifically for the Phönix and it wa made in 2005) for it too

Man, that's awesome!  I'm fascinated by the Phoenix board.  I find it amazing that some little company in South Australia actually managed to negotiate the rights to engineer and produce such a device.

Imagine if the Phoenix board was how the A1000 was launched.  It would have been the most feature packed home computer on the market...

Time to put in a bid methinks  :-)

The A1000 was far and away the most feature packed home computer on the market when it was launched and for several years afterwards.  I think the competition finally surpassed the A1000's capabilities 2 to 3 years after it was introduced.

I do agree that the Phoenix board is a good product though.

Apparently the SA company still trades but I couldn't find a website for it.

It'd be great to take a trip to SA and see some garage with new Amiga boards being pumped out of it..........if only
