Hum,
'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring...except for the mouse  and keyboard as i frag aliens!

Merry christmas All

@JimS

Thanks for the fine rendition of "God rest ye merry, 'Miga-men".

I had a good chuckle over that one.

Thanks,
redfox

I dug this one up off my Amiga's HD - actually the image now residing on the pc for UAE... I must have wrote it back in 95 or so..

Oh yeah, I added a third verse to the 'Miga-men song :-)

------------------

          The Night Before Christmas,

or a Visit from the GURU

       -----------------------------------

Twas the night before Christmas, and all round the system
If programs were running - I just must of missed 'em.

The tasks were all resting, snug in their stacks,
In hope that Exec would someday call back.

I'd just settled back, parked a chair under my tail,
and dialed the fora to download the mail.

When down on my screen, a strange sprite did appear,
I said to myself, "Yikes! the Guru must be near!"

He blitted around, tweaked an icon or two...
then said with a grin, "No, I'm not from Big Blue"

"Those guys are warped, and you know it, too...
Why else would they hope to sell OS/2."

"And let's really forget the Power PC...
There might be some software by 2003."

He jumped off the screen, in some magical way,
and said "Well, this flammage could go on all day."

"But I'm really here", he said with a wee grin
"To bring some new hope to every Amigan."

"Fear not", he said, there'll soon be a deal...
Or if not, then well, the decade's been real"

"You were the first, and maybe the best...
Don't worry too much on the claims of the rest."

"Well I've got to fly- other nets to login:
I'll be back one day, with machines again..."

He called up Lightwave and in far less than a day,
had rendered a snazzy 3d reindeer and sleigh.

He then cracked his whips, oer the heads of the chips
and I heard these words, escape from his lips...

"On Lisa, On Paula, On Agnus and Mary
On Gary or Lary and Tom, Dick and Harry."

He flew right through the Windows and over the Gates
and said with a grin, "Send the bill to my mates.."

Then I heard his voice say as I leapt out of the way...
"We're off to Florida, or perhaps the U.K."
