Every Cisco card I've seen is flash RAM (and as such won't work as RAM).  But, it doesn't hurt to try.

Let me tell you, i have done it with no problems!!
I have a 2 GB disk (4 partitions), FULL of WHDLOAD games, and i installed Workbench 2.1 with no problems!!


I've also got kickstart 37.300 on an A600 and I've installed a 4Gb disk on it.
