Doom the movie?? Could it possible be something else than a

It's a great plot for an action packed game and could easily have been adapted for a movie. Unfortunately, I think this movie was produced by people who have never played any loved the Doom games, and with little or no input from ID.

It was well known even before the filming started, that the main writer was a complete arse with no clue about anything.  I'm just sorry that you actually had to pay to find that out.

Belive it or not, that version you saw actually was a million times closer to the game than the script was when filming began.  Originally it was set on a distant planetary out-post (some made up planet name I can't remember) and was based upon a virus outbreak ala Resident Evil.

*Movie Trailer*

They came from above...

*fade in and out a terrified mother clutching baby and looking up as a shadow decends on them*

They brought with them chaos...

*fade in and out of panicing crowds fleeing from unseen danger*

So they could create a new order...

*Fade in and out of a man yelling "my god what do they want from us?!?!"*

And only one man can take them on...

*Tooling up scene involving hollywood action star of the month ending with the phrase "Let's kick some ass"*

This summer it's game over for the human race...
