A1200 clockport with multiple hardwares?
« on: October 09, 2005, 02:07:30 PM »
Hello.

In my A1200 tower setup, i currently have a Catweasel on the clockport. Comes very handy and i don't want to drop it. But I would like to add a subway card for usb, but it seems this one doesn't have a passthrough connector to allow me to keep my catweasel.

I know the catweasel could be used on IDE too, but it won't be compatible with my buffered ide interface.

Any solution?

Thanks.

If you search places like vesalia and software hut you can find adapters that give you more the one port. I would think thats the only way.

aye i have a quaddddro port for my 1200 but it does not work to well with several high speed interfases. it is suppose to support four devises at once but i dont think the clock port can cope with it

There is a X-Surf card:
http://www.jschoenfeld.de/products/xsurf_e.htm

· multiple expansion possibilities
· two clockports for A1200 expansions such as Silversurfer and Hypercom
· 26-pin expansion port just like Buddha/Catweasel Z-II controllers
· two IDE ports 3,5" and 2,5" for harddisks and CD-Roms
· all expansion ports are independant from each other and can also be used at the same time

Maybe this is a choice?

That card (X-Surf) will not work in a naked A1200....

what he would need is the Quotroport...
