Setting

I'm working on an adapation of Richard III and I need a good setting. I was thinking about perhaps ancient Mesopatamia or bronze age north Lincolnshire, I'm trying to avoid the usual ones (i.e Rome, Greece etc).

Em call me a philistine if you will but what happens in Richard III? This knowledge would likely help me to help you in a completely non-jerry maguire fashion...
