Well... hate to be the bearer of bad news and such.
I got the ZIP chips in the mail today. They are as described, ZIP chips that look like they should fit in my A3000. And they do. But that's about as far as it goes.
First off, let me just say the person who thought adding ZIP chips to a motherboard should be shot. I broke a few off the bat.
Once I got the hang of it, I filled Bank 1 up. The 3000 said "Can't get RAM" or something odd. So I double checked chips, replaced some, etc. It booted yellow. Tried again. This time it booted to a Guru screen (8003

?). After a few hours of this, I threw in the towel and figured I'd try something else. $15 down the drain, but really it's not a big deal.
